Buona Vita Company Recalls Possible Contaminated Food

A Class I food recall has been issued for products produced by the Buona Vita company in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The meats may have been possibly contaminated with bacteria. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS)  has announced a recall for almost 324,770 pounds of various frozen, ready to eat, and certain poultry products due to possible Listeria contamination.

The company Buona Vita is saying the products were produced on these following dates with their identifying codes:

May 3, 2012 case code 1242
May 4, 2012 case code 1252
May 7, 2012 case code 1282
May 8, 2012 case code 1292
May 9, 2012 case code 1302
